Based on the blockbuster movie which itself is, of course, based on the blockbuster TV cartoon series/commercials from the 80's, these newly "re-imagined" Transformers are far more fierce than their cartoon ancestors of decades past; but their plastic counterparts are just as fun to play with as the ones we parents grew up with, if not more so. Particularly cool are the Transformers Movie 2 Leader Optimus Prime and Leader Megatron figures, which light up, talk, make blasting sounds, and still transform! And there there's the Transformers Movie 2 Combiner - Construction Devastator: a MASSIVE decepticon robot made up of 6 different decepticon vehicles in one box! Give your son one of these bad boys and an autobot to battle with and he'll have a huge amount of fun! Speaking of Autobots, if you're looking for the next best thing to Optimus Prime, look out for the Transformers Movie 2 Human Alliance - Bumblebee with Sam bundle. Featuring the two heroes with the most screen time, Bumblebee and Sam are the perfect toys to back up Optimus Prime when engaging in a decisive battle with Megatron, Devastator, or any other Decepticons. Perhaps the best Trasformers 2 toy of them all however, is not a transformer at all, but a piece of one: The Transformers Movie 2 Robot Weapons Bumblebee Plasma Cannon. As the name suggests, this is a VERY cool replica of Bumblebee's Decepticon blaster of choice, with music, lights, and all the plasma blaster replica sounds you can think of!
